Elegant design meets simple operation: the system uses the latest wireless technology and excellent voice transmission to ensure that meetings, committee meetings and discussions are structured and easy to understand. The U500 microphone units work with a gooseneck condenser microphone in cardioid polar pattern and an illuminated ring for clear status indication. The robust table base features an XLR microphone connection with 28 V phantom power, an on/off/mute button, a gain control and a switchable high-pass filter at 130 Hz, which reduces proximity effects and structure-borne noise. A high-contrast OLED display provides information about the radio frequency, battery, call station number, group and channel. The frequency range is 60 Hz to 16 kHz. For quick commissioning, the 4-channel receiver offers automatic frequency and channel search, IR synchronisation, a digital rotary encoder and four direct selection buttons for the individual channels. The OLED display bundles all relevant parameters - such as audio and radio signal levels, priorities and battery status of the microphone units. To minimise crosstalk, feedback and comb filter effects, you can specify how many microphones can be open at the same time. Selectable automatic or manual gate settings and a pilot tone increase sound quality and operational reliability. In addition to separate channel outputs, a sum output is available; an access lock protects against unauthorised changes, and the system can be integrated into external control systems via RS-232. For larger setups, up to five U500 receivers can be cascaded in a master-slave network - allowing a total of up to 20 intercom stations.
