Professional 4-band parametric EQ with 2 channels, made in Great Britain Parametric 2-channel 4-band equalizer Two-channel compressor in retro style, inspired by the analog devices of the 1970s classic and clear sound with precise control at an affordable price Precisely adjustable potentiometers for exact and quick adjustments adjustable low and high-pass filters for effective interference removal maximum control in the mid-range thanks to adjustable bandwidth controls switchable slope and low-peak function for precise bass control CRUSH effect can be activated per band for more punch, presence and clarity true hardware bypass function per band for exact A/B comparisons integrated, low-noise toroidal power supply with switchable voltage robust steel housing in classic Drawmer design with aluminum front panel designed and manufactured by Drawmer in Great Britain Analog sound design with digital reproducibility The 1971 equalizer offers two channels with a fully parametric 4-band EQ that allows both subtle mastering optimizations and extensive sound shaping. The 1971 stands out with its analog warmth and characteristic sound that can hardly be imitated digitally. Precision grid potentiometers ensure exceptional accuracy and easy reproducibility of settings. Fully parametric with variable bandwidth Thanks to its variable frequency controls and bandwidths, the 1971 Equalizer enables precise adjustment in the range of +/-12 dB. The variable bandwidth controls in the middle bands offer versatile processing options, from very narrow to wide, natural sounding filters, ideal for fine tuning and sound shaping. Special functions Switchable slope The 1971 has an adjustable slope of the low and high band filters, which enables comprehensive control over the audio material. The musically selected slopes (6, 9 and 12 dB/octave as well as peak in the low band, 6 and 12 dB/octave in the high band) allow precise focusing of the bass and treble range. The peak setting in the low band in particular gives kick drums more weight and punch. Unique CRUSH function The CRUSH function, switchable in each band, adds a compressor with a fixed time constant and provides a broader, rounder filter curve and musically pleasing overtones. This effect strengthens the foundation in the low frequencies, adds more warmth and presence to the mid frequencies and brings more sparkle to the high frequencies. The CRUSH effect is progressive and becomes stronger the more the frequency band is boosted, allowing easy A/B comparisons per band. Variable low and high cut filters The 1971's low and high cut filters (10Hz-225Hz and 4kHz-32kHz) are perfect for removing unwanted signals. Compared to fixed frequency filters, these variable filters offer precise control for pinpoint noise removal and bracketing of individual tracks.
