Built-in are 2x 8" carbon fiber woofers from the Focal Alpha Evo series for an and 10% larger diaphragm area than a 10" single subwoofer only slightly larger cabinet dimensions. The opposing orientation of the two drivers also results in a much more even bass dispersion, so that even smaller rooms are only slightly triggered. The driver material used by Focal and the special manufacturing technology provide due to high rigidity with low mass for a fast impulse response without reverberation. Strong neodymium magnets also guarantee a powerful response and high performance. Flexible in all bass setups The Sub One can be operated both with the internal crossover and, via the LFE input, with an external crossover. If you have a sound card with a DSP mixer, you can control the crossover frequency and subwoofer high-pass from your computer. But also the internal settings leave hardly any wishes unfulfilled regarding room adaptation: The crossover frequency can be adjusted continuously from 32 to 120Hz and a high-pass filter with 2 corner frequencies is available, so that room modes and intermodulation distortions can be effectively controlled.
