Introducing the Neumann M 147 vacuum tube condenser microphone, offering a high-quality warm tube sound with cardioid directional characteristics and a classic design. At the heart of the M 147 is a dual diaphragm capsule that has been taken from legendary predecessors the U-47 and M 49. The tube in this microphone functions as an impedance converter and coupled with an efficient, transformerless output circuit guarantees an extremely low self-noise level. The tube can reproduce extremely low frequencies without distortion. The M 147 offers extremely advanced circuitry for a solid-state microphone. The Neumann M 147 is very well suited as a vocal microphone but also works well as a spot microphone for all types of musical instruments. As mentioned, the low-noise tube circuitry means it is perfectly suited for modern recording. The tube microphone is addressed from the side and its headgrille cover protects the M 147 against wind and microphone pop. Both the microphone capsule and the circuitry of the M 147 are shock mounted to prevent structural noise. The M 147 can handle extremely long cables without the audio signal being affected. Included with the microphone are a microphone cable, a metal swivel mount for a microphone stand, and a compact universal power supply for standard mains sockets. The Neumann M 147 is housed in an aluminium case. The Neumann M 147Features: Universal tube microphone Pressure gradient transducer with the large diaphragm capsule from the legendary U 47 and M 49 Transformerless circuitry Low self noise level Comes with swivel stand mount made of metal, universal power supply, and cable in an attractive aluminium case Acoustical operating principle: Pressure gradient transducer Directional pattern: Cardioid Frequency range: 20 Hz - 20 kHz Sensitivity at 1 kHz into 1 kohm: 20 mV/Pa Rated impedance: 50 ohms Rated load impedance: 1000 ohms Equivalent SPL CCIR 468-3: 24 dB Equivalent SPL DIN/ IEC 651: 12 dB-A S/N ratio CCIR 468- 3: 70 dB S/N ratio DIN/IEC 651: 82 dB Maximum SPL: 114 dB for THD Maximum output voltage: 8 dBu Dyn. range of the mic. amplifier DIN/IEC 651: 102 dB for THD Supply voltage: Power supply N 149 A Matching connector: Microphone: DIN 8F; Power Supply: XLR 3F Weight: approx. 460g Diameter: 57 mm Length: 142 mm Manufactured by: Georg Neumann GmbH Neumann Leipziger Str. 112, 10117 Berlin Deutschland headoffice@neumann.com www.neumann.com 304177240
