Qu-Bit Mini USB stick Qu-Bit Stardust: An Overview Stereo looper from QU-Bit Stardust is Qu-Bit's vision of an almost cosmic tape looper with true stereo signal processing. The module captures layers of audio signals to construct new soundscapes and even finds ways to take an esoteric approach. Basically, Stardust is a stereo looper with all the essential controls for recording and processing sounds, which is optimally supported by click-free loop transitions, an extremely low noise floor and studio-grade signal conversion. Thanks to the four loop modes Sound on Sound, Replace, Frippertronics and Resample, Stardust's possibilities go far beyond what you would usually expect from a reel-to-reel looper. However, Stardust is not satisfied with the perfect loop. It focuses on the texture and vibe of the recording. Effects such as Wow & Flutter, Tape Hiss, Vintage Saturation and Reverb add a lot of charm and character. Dubbing, by the way, is a basic discipline and adds even more layers of sound. Recordings can be saved, retrieved, imported and exported using the USB stick supplied. Full control The module is equipped with a clock input so that the cosmic overlays of sound layers from distant galaxies can be brought into a musically meaningful context. A total of ten parameters with CV inputs allow spontaneous access to the sound events. Five additional gate inputs for freeze, record, play, Reset and Reverse as well as dedicated buttons further expand the range of the effects module. The Nova output can be configured via the web app and generates some quite unusual CV or Gate signals. Practical web editor Thanks to the free Narwhal web app Stardust can be quickly adapted to new circumstances. This includes assigning functions to the rotary controls, configuring the Nova output, setting the control range for each parameter, variable structure or drift settings and much more. The transfer to the module takes place via USB stick.
