Accordingly, the Hagstrom Super Viking features a 25.5" scale length (648 mm) for a taut sound and cleanly vibrating strings even at lower tunings, whereas the maple neck features an extremely smooth profile thanks to the typical "H-Expander" tension rod. The large body made of laminated flamed maple is stabilized by a solid center block, so that even at high volumes no feedback can cloud the typical semi hollow sound. Furthermore two Hagstrom Custom HJ-50C humbuckers promise authentic fat humbucker sounds with woody semi-acoustic timbre. Lust but not least, the push/pull switches in the tone controls provide first-class coil split sounds with transparent single-coil character.
