Thanks to the improved Lexer 2.0 process, Arbhar is able to chop sampled audio into tiny Grains and scatter, deform, pitch manipulate, play backwards and layer them. The audio signal is broken down into textures and small fragments that can be compressed or expanded using existing parameters, transforming the sound in a completely new direction. Combined with changing the pitch, manipulating the grain size and shifting the playback position and sample length, abstract as well as whacky possibilities arise to completely recreate sound collages, Loops and other audio material. Thanks to the stereo audio inputs and the built-in condenser microphone, Arbhar is able to record samples in six slots of up to 10 seconds in length and process the incoming audio signal in real-time. The results are often reminiscent of the Atomizer feature from the Access Virus. With Dry/Wet, the ratio between the processed and the original signal is mixed continuously. The levels of the inputs and outputs can also be adjusted separately. Recording can be triggered by pressing the Capture button or by a gate signal. Scan-Control moves the position of the audio buffer. In Follow mode, the movement of the playhead is automated, with the Scan control determining the speed of the movement. The audio material can be played forward or backward, and can also be assigned a playback probability. The intensity control adjusts the distribution of the Grains . By limiting the particle size to a single-cycle waveform, the effect module becomes a Wavetable oscillator and can be played tonally.
