It makes it possible to create databases, i.e. relational and dedicated programmes, either with templates or from scratch, via a graphical interface using the Microsoft Jet Database Engine. Access supports an object-based programming language called Visual Basic.The main application of Access is the storage of data in tables, with the possibility of importing or linking data from other applications and databases.  Access can handle large databases by offering functionality to enter data more easily and quickly, reducing the margin of error.
