The BQ-CC55 UK charger from Panasonic Eneloop is a Smart Quick Charger and comes with a pack of 4 x Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA 2500mAh 1.2V rechargeable batteries. This new UK 3-Pin plug charger has coloured LED's one for each charging slot. When an LED is lit it means the battery is charging, however different colours show the state of your batteries. Red LED means the batteries are 20% charged or less. Yellow LED means the batteries are between 20% and 80% charged. Green LED means the batteries are 80% or more. When the LED goes out the battery is 100% Yellow Blinking LED means the battery is worn out and needs replacing Red Blinking LED means the battery is not suitable (ie non-rechargeable)   The BQ-CC55 is called a BQ-CC55U when it has a 3-pin UK plug, this charger does have a UK plug. (The BQ-CC55E has a European 2-pin plug) You can charge a single battery or up to four at one time. When you first insert some rechargeable batteries the LED's light green from right to left for about 3 seconds before charging begins. The Panasonic batteries that come with this particular model are Eneloop Pro AA 2500mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries. They are the latest low self discharge rechargeable batteries and can retain up to 85% of their charge for up to 12 months. They are also ready to use, however we would recommend giving them a top up charge on arrival to bring them up to 100%.
