The drum set consists of a 22"x16" bass drum, 10"x7" and 12"x8" tom-toms and a 16"x15" floor tom. The sound is warm, bright and balanced and covers all musical styles with its warm Maple sound. The combination of 2.3 mm inverse dyna-hoops and a clean 45° bearing edge guarantee clean overtone control and consistent tuning. The Remo Ambassador heads are tensioned by Yamaha Absolute Lugs and the proven Y.E.S.S Tom holders minimize shell contact to avoid distorting the warm and original resonance of the drum shells. The matt lacquer finish is unobtrusive and classic and blends stylishly into the overall picture. Yamaha Tour Custom: Pure Maple Sound Maple is considered the absolute classic in drum making and covers almost all musical styles thanks to warm and shimmering basic frequencies. The Yamaha Tour Custom drums use 6 layers of 5.6 mm wood. The result is an expressive sound with a shimmering warm basic character that leaves nothing to be desired.
