The solid construction, consisting of a solid cedar top and a maple body with hollow chambers, produces a fast attack and makes the A6 Ultra a lightweight despite its solidbody construction. A flat mahogany neck with a Richlite fretboard offers the playing feel of an electric guitar and at the same time, thanks to the 42.8 mm nut width, the generous dimensions of an acoustic guitar, making complicated solos and even extensive finger patterns child's play. However, the Godin A6 Ultra NT SG owes its versatility to its extensive pickup system, which includes a custom Godin under-saddle transducer and a custom Godin mini humbucker. This way the instrument produces a rich acoustic guitar sound and furthermore offers the warm sound of an electric guitar. The dual system is controlled by a preamp, which is equipped with a 3-band equalizer. Two outputs allow either independent or parallel use of the two pickup types.
