The instrument is equipped with a pleasantly playable 88-key Graded Hammer Standard keyboard with hammer action. This mimics the touch of an acoustic piano, ranging from a naturally heavy feel on the lower keys to a lighter touch in the upper octaves. This allows for fast repetition and authentic expressive control that closely resembles the feel of a piano. Great attention has been paid to the supporting piano sound of the YDP-S35, which is digitally reproduced and based on the flagship concert grand CFX. To fully exploit the complete range of functions, all you need is your smartphone with the Smart Pianist app installed. However, for a better overview, especially when reading the notes, a tablet is recommended. The app offers access to more than 350 integrated songs that you can use for your exercises. Furthermore, the app simplifies various operating steps and provides comprehensive setting options with the Piano Room function, for example, how you can adjust the sound quality or the resonance behavior to your needs. Features Thanks to Yamaha's Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM lite) technology, the instrument is able to reproduce the expressive and differentiated sound changes of a real grand piano such as eg. string vibrations. A total of 10 sounds are available. Due to the high polyphony of 192 voices, the YDP-S35 has enough air upwards even when playing fast so that no fading note is swallowed. Four different Reverb effects, a Stereo optimizer and the Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) provide for a little more brilliance and spatial sound if desired.
