The innovative material combination of walnut and birch produces a modern, warm sound with a very high bass content that is also clear and articulate. The all-rounder drum kit from Tama features the legendary Starclassic shell hardware, which impresses with its Star Cast Mounting System, cast iron hoops and spring-loaded floor tom legs. In combination with Evans heads and Starclassic lugs, the result is a contemporary drum kit with a modern sound and impressive finish. Innovative shell construction: Starclassic Walnut/Birch All shells of the Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch series are a hybrid of American walnut and European birch. The Bass Drum consists of a total of 7 plies (5 plies birch + 2 inner plies walnut), the Toms consist of 6 plies (4 plies birch + 2 inner plies walnut). After extensive research, Tama was able to achieve the most modern sound with this combination, which covers all styles of music. The predominant feature of this sound is the high bass content, caused by the two layers of walnut. Birch wood gives the complex frequency mix a concise clarity and an assertive attack. In addition, the shells are lacquered on the inside, which further focuses the sound. Starclassic shell hardware: built for professionals The die-cast zinc hoops are extremely solid and emphasize the sound. They also optimize the contact between the screw and hoops, ensuring tuning reliability and stability. The Bass drum claws of the Starclassic Walnut/Birch Drums have rubber pads that protect the hoops and improve the resonance behavior of the Bass Drum . Drums and covering The floor tom legs are air-suspended and the tried-and-tested Starcast mounting system ensures that the shells vibrate unhindered and the sound unfolds perfectly. The Starclassic lugs are extremely stable and perfect for everyday touring. From the factory, the Toms and floor toms are covered with Evans G2 clear heads. On the Bass Drum there is an Evans EQ4 head with damping ring, so that nothing stands in the way of immediate playing fun.
