Lindy 42710 Cat.6 USB 2.0 Extender The Lindy USB 2.0 Cat.6 Extender bridges distances up to 140m between computer and 4 peripherals with a Cat.6 UTP (or higher) network cable. When using Cat.5e UTP/STP cables, distances up to 120m can be achieved. We recommend the use of patch cables with rigid conductors to achieve the best possible performance and compatibility. This is a hardware solution consisting of two components: a transmitter that connects to the computer and a receiver for connecting peripheral devices. The robust aluminum housing with mounting brackets makes this extender ideal for remote access to printers, scanners, webcams and external storage media. It is also perfect for digital signage applications, home networking, industrial control, security, USB device sharing and KVM extension. A power supply unit for the receiver is included in the scope of delivery, so that a secure, stable power supply for all devices is guaranteed.
