The Altitude Powerplay shares the many of the same attributes as Rocky Mountain's race proven Altitude geometry, kinematics, and adjustability. So go ahead and smash down chutes, rail through corners, and then turn it up to "Ludicrous" to get back up to the top faster than you ever thought possible. Dyname™ 4.0 is incredibly powerful and is truly a leader among e-bike motors. Rocky Mountain designed the power curve within the software to deliver the 108Nm smoothly, allowing you as the rider to soft pedal around tight switchbacks or drop the hammer through a chunky, punchy, portion of trail. With the level of torque that Dyname 4.0 is able to produce, it was important for Rocky Mountain to have that amount of power delivered in a natural feeling way. By developing a torque sensor that precisely measures chain tension, Rocky Mountain have created a mechanical solution to what normally would be an extra digital process that introduces more lag when it comes to the power delivery, this helps reduce the amount of lag helping them achieve that desired ride feel.
