The innovative material combination of walnut and birch produces a modern, warm sound with a very high bass content, which is additionally clear and articulated. Tama's all-rounder drum kit features the legendary Starclassic kettle hardware, which convinces with the Star Cast Mounting System, cast iron hoops and sprung Floor-Tom legs. In combination with the Evans skins and the Starclassic Lugs, a contemporary drum set with a contemporary sound and impressive paintwork is created. Innovative boiler design: Starclassic Walnut/Birch All boilers of the Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch series are a hybrid of American Walnut and European Birch. The bass drum consists of a total of 7 layers (5 birch layers + 2 walnut inner layers), the toms consist of 6 layers (4 birch layers + 2 walnut inner layers). After a long period of research, Tama was able to achieve the most modern sound with this combination, covering all musical styles. The predominant feature of this sound is the high bass content, caused by the two layers of walnut. Birch wood gives the complex frequency mix a concise clarity and an assertive attack. In addition, the inside of the boilers is painted, which further focuses the sound. Starclassic boiler hardware: Built for professionals The die-cast zinc tension tires are extremely solid and emphasize the sound. In addition, they optimize the contact between the screw and the tension ring and thus ensure tuning security and stability. The bass drum claws of the Starclassic Walnut/Birch drums are equipped with rubber pads that protect the tension tire and improve the resonance behaviour of the bass drum. The Floor-Tom legs are air-suspended and the tried and tested Starcast Mounting System ensures that the boilers vibrate unhindered and the sound unfolds perfectly. The Starclassic Lugs are extremely stable and perfectly suited for everyday touring. From the factory the toms and floor toms are covered with Evans G2 clear skins. On the bass drum is an Evans EQ4 skin with damper ring, so that nothing stands in the way of immediate playing fun.
