The Istanbul Sultan cymbals combine the brilliance of the Traditional series with the wooden sound of the Turk cymbals. The unlathed bell produces a compact bell sound, the unlathed bow reduces overtones and shortens sustain. The underside of the Sultan cymbals is completely unlathed. This results in a mild sound with great stick definition and controlled overtones.
