Yamaha has relied on a design that has been tried and tested since the 1980s, which not only promises optimum balance on the strap and thigh, but also guarantees crisp reproduction of all strings thanks to its 35" scale length (889 mm). While the alder body carries a maple top with a chic quilted maple veneer, the flat profile of the five-piece maple-mahogany neck offers soft playability up to the 24th fret of the rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with Alnico V magnets, the Yamaha humcanceled single coils of the TRB 1006 deliver a warm, yet transparent tone that responds vividly to the player and thus supports expressive electric bass playing. To adjust the tone, the five-string is equipped with an active 3-band EQ.
