Both condenser microphones have a similar frequency response, but have been tuned for the respective instruments. The DM-1B Bassdrum Microphone If you are looking for a mic with bass precision, you can't do anything wrong with the DM-1B: after three years of development of the set, which also involved experienced producers and well-known drummers, the DM-1B shines with its large diaphragm capsule, which has a full 140 dB sound pressure level. With the integrated PAD switch, the SPL number even increases to 155 dB, so that even particularly loud playing styles on the drum kit can be recorded without any problems.
