Accordingly, Ortega has opted for a solid spruce top for the body in the classic jumbo format, which together with the base and sides made of laminated ebony delivers a lively sound with deep bass and brilliant assertiveness. Thanks to the shorter 32" medium scale length (812 mm) and the Venetian cutaway, the acoustic bass can be played comfortably up to the higher positions of the Tecwood fretboard. Furthermore the integrated Ortega MagusPro pickup system with 3-band EQ allows for amplified bass playing on stage or recording in the studio with a natural and dynamic output.
